The Dalle Piane Cashmere Philosophy: We strictly produce our products in Italy, allowing us to better supervise the quality and establish trusting relationships with our suppliers. We aim to reduce overproduction through a just-in-time production system, minimizing waste and promoting sustainability.

The Raw Material: Cashmere production involves four basic steps - harvesting, sorting, shearing, and spinning. Harvesting is done by hand combing during the animal's natural seasonal moulting. Sorting and grading are also done by hand. The fiber is then washed to remove dirt, grease, and remaining plant matter before being made into yarn.

Weaving: Knitted fabric is produced using straight knitting machines. The fabrics are allowed to rest to regain their natural shape and elasticity.

Garment Making-Up: Various parts of the pattern, including the front, back, sleeves, edges, and collars, are assembled using tools such as sewing machines, cut and sew, and linking machines. Highly skilled staff ensure excellent quality.

Washing and Ironing: All garments undergo a "fulling" phase to achieve the softness typical of cashmere. Final ironing completes and enhances the garments.
