Product Description: 100% Made in Italy The Dalle Piane Cashmere Philosophy: Our products are strictly 100% Made in Italy. Local production allows us to closely monitor the quality of the products we offer and establish trustworthy relationships with our suppliers. We strive not to overproduce and adopt a just-in-time production system to reduce waste as much as possible. This enables us to minimize raw material waste and generate less production waste.

The Raw Material: Cashmere production involves four basic steps: harvesting, sorting, shearing, and spinning. Hand combing is used for harvesting during the natural seasonal shedding of the animal in late spring. Sorting and grading of the hair are also done by hand. The fiber is then washed to remove dirt, grease, and any remaining plant matter, making it ready to be spun into yarn.

Weaving: The production of knitted fabric, known as knitting, is done using straight knitting machines. The resulting fabrics are allowed to rest for a day to regain their natural shape and indentation after the weaving process, which involves tension and elongation.

Garment Making-Up: During this stage, various parts of the pattern are assembled, including the front, back, sleeves, edges, and collars. We utilize tools such as sewing machines, cut and sew, and linking machines, which require highly skilled staff to ensure excellent quality of the garments.

Washing and Ironing: All our garments undergo a "fulling" phase, which involves washing to achieve the customary softness synonymous with cashmere. Final ironing completes and enhances all the previous operations. The garments are then carefully packaged and ready for sale.
